Basil Seafood Lemon Linguine | Season Herbs

Lemon, fish and basil are a culinary match made in heaven and this lemon seafood linguine recipe combines all three together perfectly.

For our seafood, we’ve used a mixture of king prawns, mussels and squid but feel free to use your preferred seafood.

To really get the most out of this recipe you could use fresh fish, basil and pasta if possible. However, for convenience, even frozen seafood mixtures will work well. Let’s begin!

  • Step 1

Prepare the marinade by juicing and zesting one lemon, chopping up the garlic and shredding the basil. You can marinate your seafood overnight or for a quick meal you only need to marinate for 5 minutes while you prepare the pasta.

  • Step 2

Bring some water to a boil and add a teaspoon of salt. Add your linguini and cook for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and return to the pan.

  • Step 3

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3-4 minutes, add the seafood with the marinade and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 4

Toss into the pasta, season to taste then serve. Garnish with freshly cut basil.

What a treat! You can find more fresh herb recipes on our blog or take a look at our range of culinary herb plants in our online store. It’s never been easier to grow your own herb garden.
